Dr. Hooykaas is extremely helpful, and takes your needs into consideration as he is suggesting treatment. He worked with my level of comfort in regards to extreme measures while treating my Great Pyrenees. He is very caring, and reassured me that I was making the right decisions for treatment. He treated my pup like she was his own. He took time to listen, and made some great suggestions before proceeding with the next level of care. Not only is he awesome with animals, he has great people skills as well (which is not true for many vets!)
